7 Mayfair Square, London-1822
Sibyl Smiles has a strong and unfashionable passion for independence. Although 28 and unmarried, she has one great desire; to become a mother, with or without a marriage. Of course, this shocks everyone except the group of freethinking women she meets with regularly. The one ingredient she needs to make her dream come true is a willing man. There is only one man she can ask, Hunter Lloyd, a friend and neighbor.
Barrister Hunter Lloyd is soon to become Sir Hunter Lloyd after successfully representing one of the king's friends in a spectacular trial. When Sibyl presents her proposition to Hunter, he is confused, then stunned when he realizes Sybil wants him to father her child. He has secretly adored Sibyl for years, but given the threats he has received since the trial, this is not the time to be distracted by her charms.
7B is an enthralling tale full of mystery, family, independence and most of all love. Sibyl is quiet, gentle, and intelligent and strives for independence. Hunter is virile, industrious, ambitious, honest and genuinely cares for Sibyl. The two make a spectacular couple; he is determined to protect her from harm and she is just as determined to carry through with her plans. Deft humor is sprinkled throughout and the scene where Sibyl propositions Hunter is delightful. The story flows smoothly, making this a quick and enjoyable read. Mayfair Square is brought to vivid life and I came to feel like I was living amongst the characters.
Ms. Cameron has penned a wonderful, not to be missed, character driven story. 7B, the third book in Ms. Cameron's Mayfair Square series, stands alone quite well. The captivating characters piqued my interest sufficiently that I will seek the first two books-MORE AND MORE and ALL SMILES-so I can learn more about them and their backgrounds. 7B is the type of tale readers have come to expect from Ms. Cameron and it is truly not to be missed! --Carol Durfee
